SharpLink Spends $258M on ETH, Boosting Staking-Driven Treasury Plan

SharpLink Gaming bought 79,949 ETH for $258M between July 14-20, bringing total holdings to 360,807 coins. The purchase increased the treasury by 29%.

SharpLink Gaming Inc. made its biggest crypto bet yet, purchasing 79,949 ether for $258 million between July 14-20. This brings the Minneapolis-based firm’s total holdings to 360,807 ETH worth over $1 billion.

Since launching its digital asset strategy in June, the gaming company has positioned Ethereum as its primary treasury reserve, with the latest purchase boosting holdings by 29%.

The company paid an average price of $3,238 per coin during the week-long buying period. SharpLink started its digital asset treasury strategy on June 2. Since then, the company has earned 567 ETH in staking rewards.

The firm trades on Nasdaq under the ticker SBET. SharpLink calls itself the world’s largest publicly traded holder of ether. The company develops Web3-based solutions for the online gaming industry.

Chairman Joseph Lubin said the company uses its ongoing stock sales program to grow the ether reserve. He said buying large volumes at lower prices supports the plan to keep increasing ETH holdings.

SharpLink has $96.6 million in net proceeds from the share facility set aside for more crypto purchases. The company’s ETH concentration ratio has reached 3.06 since the strategy began in June, 2025..

SharpLink’s total ETH holdings reached $1 billion value. If successful, SharpLink’s aggressive Ethereum strategy could inspire other gaming companies to follow suit with their own crypto treasury plans.
