Corporate Traveller, the biggest travel company in the UK, announced to accept Bitcoin (BTC), according to a press release from yesterday.
To be able to accept BTC as a payment method the British company partnered with Bitpay. Andy Hegley, the CEO of Corporate Traveller stated:
“We identified an increasing demand from our clients for the option to pay in bitcoin for business travel bookings made by our travel consultants. We chose BitPay to manage our merchant processing because they make it easy and handle the entire process of getting the Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash from the customer and depositing cash into our account.”
To deal with Bitcoin‘s volatility Corporate Traveller will convert any Bitcoins that it receives immediately against the British Pound. According to the travel agency, this is cheaper than a transaction via a credit card company.
The company reacted to the rising demand of its customers to pay with Bitcoin.
